When I got the press release of this game I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not but once it was downloaded I can comfortably say that its one of the better challenging games I have played in a long time. There is 2 campaigns that I had a go at one is based in space and the other is ancient things such as TROY.

The game has over 100 levels and gets harder as you progress, like most games. If you have ever played Arkanoid then you will know this game already as its pretty much the same….bat and ball kinda game.
If you would rather throw hand grenades than hit a little ball about in order to collect gems and other items then this is not the game for you, if however you play games because they are fun then by all means go and get this game.

The graphics/visualisations are stunning – nice and bright too, especially the campaign in space. Not only do you have the 1 ball to break bricks etc with but you get the chance to have upto 16 balls on screen – now that gets hard lol. Also lasers and cannons can be unlocked to help along the way. This game could easily succeed in the mobile market too especially on the iPod/iPhone.

Im going to give this game a 10/10 and these are the reasons why…

  • Stunning to look at
  • Able to play your own music/playlists
  • The games soundtrack is also very well put together
  • No 2 levels will be the same
  • It remembers the stage you was on when you died so you can just load it straight up again
  • Gets you thinking about every move you are making/going to make
  • The price is very reasonable for this kind of game

Alot of titles out there may have HD in their name but dont actually support anything like 1080p and this game isnt one of them. It supports all HD and doesnt look like its bothered by it either, so even if you play this game on a crt tv you can still enjoy the stunning graphics and gameplay. Also, Hyperballoid HD employs a unique achievements system in which each accomplishment translates into cool awards. Plus, achievement points can be saved on the Playstation Network to demonstrate the player’s superiority. Also, Hyperballoid HD features three difficulty levels tailored for gamers of various skill levels, including novices and experts. I played mine on medium and found it challenging so maybe check it out on easy first – unless you feel better than everyone else :D

So again this game gets a 10/10…its just brilliant and considering its only £3.99 what have you got to lose really?
Plus there is no blood, violence or idiots speaking on the mic calling you names and spitting out racist remarks so its child friendly.
